Shearer’s Foods, LLC has announced a recall of over 15,000 cases of oyster crackers distributed through Target, Walmart, and Giant Eagle across more than 20 states. This recall, issued on February 21, 2025, was prompted by the discovery of a stainless steel wire in the product.
The affected oyster crackers were marketed under the brand names Market Pantry, Great Value, Giant Eagle, and VISTA, and were distributed in states including Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Additionally, these products were available in 20-pound bulk packages not intended for retail sale.
